Wonderful to discover a great soup place near Chinatown. There’s a couple good pho options up Fort St but this is definitely a hidden gem. Delicious food, good portions, and really great prices. I actually enjoyed tendon in my soup for the first time as theirs basically melted in my mouth.
Good service and tasty food. The salad rolls and peanut sauce were delicious - one order of the non vegetarian and one veg with tofu (the tofu had a crispy outer which was a nice surprise and added to the taste). Not a fan of the shredded pork skin that my son's dish included but the rest was great. I ordered lemongrass chicken with deep fried spring rolls.
My favorite VN restaurant. The best place for Pho Ga, better than in VN. Every time I come to Victoria I visit. Try it.
So so good! Everything we tried was delicious!
Nice place. Usually empty during lunch time
Really enjoyed the family meal here, nice spacious round table. Many got a variety of Pho but the twice cooked tofu was amazing.
I had the Crab Noodle Soup and the Fried Rolls. The soup was incredible. It's cold and rainy today and it was just what I needed to warm me up. The broth had so much umami and it exploded with flavor. The veggies were ample and fresh while the noodles were on point. The crab was delectable and there were shrimps which I didn't expect. The fried rolls were perfect... not greasy at all with just the right amount of crunch. The atmosphere is nice, warm and inviting. The place itself very clean. The service was great. I felt well taken care of. I will be back
I've ordered takeout from here a couple of times very fast and it's right by my apartment so very convenient, cant go wrong prices are moderate.
Best vermicelli bowls I've had in town. Also the only place I've found that puts shrimp and pork in the salad rolls, either alone doesn't do it.
Tried Pho noodle soup with steak and well done flank. Just right amount of salt. Home made style while maintaining restaurant standard. Highly recommend this place.
Delicious and friendly
My favourite Pho place! Awesome broth!
I tried spicy noodle soup today. It was good, big portion, decent broth with lots of rare beef, some meat balls and ham. The service is not too bad.
Great little restaurant with affordable prices! We ordered the beef pho and the lemongrass pork chop with rice and both were delicious.
I ordered the Bun Bo Hue. The broth needed more fish sauce and was unremarkable, but the sliced beef was excellent and the service was attentive. The pho is on the sweet side, but otherwise acceptable.
Great little place, nice staff.
Pretty good food and nice service! The salad rolls were great and the pho with steak and brisket was tasty. The pho with chicken balls was good, though the actual chicken balls weren't a very nice texture. Everything around them was well made though, so still a positive experience overall!
Sure tasty and they have a ton of options to choose from which is nice
Very authentic tasting. Lemon grass chicken vermicelli was very delicious. Great iced coffee.
A nice quiet place to go for lunch with very fast service. Why go and get fast food when you could come here and pay around the same price for a greatly superior product.
Excellent Pho and great value. Great service. My regular go to for Pho.
Not bad for Victoria Chinatown to have a PHO restaurant. Order tasted good but thirsty from the soup afterwards.
Inside is nice and roomy and waitresses are nice and friendly. Price is Average. Food is above average. Only thing i dont like is that they dont put enough noodles in the pho. I mean the noodles are so cheap in comparison to meat or veggies but they choose to go cheap on the most important ingredient! for $15 i expect to be at least 75% full but i left still hungry..
Great tasting food!
This restaurant is my favorite in Victoria! The service is always good and the food is by far the best around.. you can never go wrong with a number 33 and iced coffee!
Low expectations going in, but really good. I'll be back.
The meatballs are bitten. It has this fake texture that just make me go EW! There is gum under the table and chairs. It’s just sooo bad, honestly. The hoisin sauce looks like poop, in other words, it is extremely pasty. The tables are extremely sticky. The walls and floors are dirty. I just can’t handle the terrible quality. I’m just a kid are they trying to poison me!?
Wonderful pho just beyond the ceremonial Chinatown gates. Worth a visit.
Lady attending us gave us good service. She was on top of filling our water glasses. I'm not sure what to say about the food. It was different in taste, then what I'm used to. However the veggie ingredients tasted very fresh.
Fair vegan options. The caramelized tofu is *amazing* and the veggie pho is a great portion. Cons: Sometimes the restaurant smells a bit funky? Not going to stop me goin' though.
Crazy variety of Pho. I chose the brisket and flank and it was excellent. Super fast and friendly service. Thought there was a funky smell in the restaurant until I realized it was the bottle of fish sauce on the table. 🤦♂️ Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.
Love the Vietnamese coffee!
Everything here is so delicious! I love that the menu has photos of absolutely everything, so it makes it easier to decide. Nice place. Efficient staff. My only criticism will be that they really need to give the floors a good cleaning, especially in the bathroom.
One of the place to have Pho... price is neither cheap nor costly...Tried chicken pho... regular is $13 and Large is 14... and tax.. Dinning area is clean... I didn't see crowd @ dinner time...
Yummy phõ! Restaurant is spacious and servers are nice. Seafood soup didn't have that much seafood in it unfortunately... But, it was loaded with lots of other goodies. Broth was pretty decent and not overly salty!
Night and light stock, the tendon was undercooked and chewy. Just a personal preference. Clean and tidy!
My first Vietnamese food on a long time. My choice of food was a mistake. It was mediocre.
Great pho 😊
Literally the best pho broth, I have ever had. I come here at least once a week and the service is always amazing and the food is next level. So amazing.
Great service and excellent food !!!
Simply the best. Better than all the rest.
Pho needs improvement. Too salty and lacks toppings to make the pho crisp. Too expensive for the quality of food we are getting.
A good spot for lunch and closer than you think to downtown.
This is a decent sized venue. About 40 seats or so, just outside of Chinatown. We were the only table in the restaurant at midday on a sunny Saturday. I had the steak+brisket pho. Honestly, it was a bit bland. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing as it was very simple in ingredients and flavours. The service was okay. Not bad. Not great. Considering we were the only two people in there it could have been better. Also, the walls had quite a bit of sauce and food splattered on them. It would have been nice if it was a little more clean.
My first came here by my self and ordered meat ball soup so pretty good. The broth is so tasty.. i recommended for all off u.. the important is the broth soup not to salty and not bland.. clean restaurant and the stuff very nice..
Good portions for the price. The pho is well made, but the meatballs are subpar at best.
Great Pho Not the Best but very good Nice hole-in-the-wall gem
Good service. The pho is good. The chicken dish was salty for my liking. $14.95 seems a little pricey. The beer very expensive... Budweiser $5.75, Heineken $6.25, Canadian $5.75.
Unlike many Vietnamese eateries in North America (which tend to be minimalistic in terms of atmosphere) Pho Vuong is somewhat more upmarket in its appearance and atmosphere. However this does not seem to drive their prices up over the top. It was a Monday evening when I was there and the place was a quarter full.I particularly enjoyed the Nem cuon Nha Trang (fresh salad roll with grilled pork) which came with peanut sauce (yay!) and avocado smoothie. My wife went one step further and pointed out she liked those guava-flavoured sweets that they hand out together with the bill!
Servers are a little awkward. But that is for sure part of the charm this place brings. Great affordable pho... i love the curry as well! Not spicy but flavorful!
